Frequently Asked Questions

Yes! Joining the community and Discord is completely free. Most events are free or pay-as-you-go, though some specialty workshops, trips, or premium experiences may have a ticket price.
-
Yes, Discord is where our community lives. While our website is the best place to browse upcoming events and learn about BWT Social Club, nearly all conversations, event coordination, introductions, and friendships happen inside our Discord server.
Think of the website as the front door and Discord as the clubhouse. Once you join, you'll be able to chat with members, RSVP to events, ask questions, organize meetups, and become part of the day-to-day community.
If you've never used Discord before, don't worry—it's much easier than it looks. Thousands of women in our community had never used it before joining, and most get comfortable with it within a day.

Start by choosing a community that fits your interests or stage of life — whether that's fitness buddies, 20’s-early 30’s, Brooklyn, Manhattan, 35 & Wiser, Moms With Taste…
There you can tell us a little about yourself: share your name, some of your interests, and, if you're comfortable, your age or neighborhood. Instantly you'll start to get reactions and messages from women who have things in common with you, making it much easier to start conversations and find people you'd genuinely enjoy meeting!
-
There are two easy ways:
Visit the Calendar page on our website to browse all upcoming events.
Check the event channels in Discord where members can RSVP, ask questions, and coordinate before meeting.
-
Many women attend their very first event without knowing anyone. Our events are designed to make meeting people feel natural, and hosts are always happy to introduce newcomers.
You can always bring a friend and sometimes even your dog!

Absolutely.
Posting or hosting an event you're genuinely excited about can be one of the most rewarding experiences the community has to offer. When I first started the community, I was an introvert and the idea sounded intimidating. It turned out to be one of the best ways to build friendships because people naturally come together around shared interests.
My only advice: don't knock it until you try it.
You don't have to organize anything elaborate. It can be as simple as grabbing coffee, taking a walk, visiting a museum, or trying a new restaurant.

BWT Social Club welcomes adult women of all ages. We also have dedicated channels, such as 20's–Early 30's and 35 & Wiser, to help members connect with others in similar stages of life while still keeping the broader community inclusive.

The hardest part is showing up. After that, conversations tend to happen naturally because everyone is there for the same reason: to meet new people and build genuine friendships.
If you're feeling nervous, consider attending a walk, coffee meetup, or smaller gathering for your first event. Those tend to be especially welcoming for new members.
